The crypto community was rocked by allegations that Jeffy Yu, co-founder of AI project Zerebro, staged his own death as part of an exit strategy. A May 4 livestream purportedly showed Yu’s suicide, followed by suspicious wallet activity dumping project tokens.
An obituary published on Legacy.com appeared to confirm the developer’s death. However, blockchain analysts quickly noted coordinated sell-offs from wallets linked to the project, sparking accusations of market manipulation.
